USA is filled with interesting and educational exhibits which bring you back in time to
the days of the Copper Mining Boom. We have included a small sample of the exhibits here
on our Web site, but to truly experience our museum, we invite you to
visit us in person!
Early unknown tribes mined this Peninsula for native (solid)
copper over 5000 years ago. The method used was to build a fire under an outcropping of
solid copper, heat it intil it was somewhat soft, and then pound off pieces with stone
hammers.
